Reclaim Finance is a new NGO affiliated to Friends of the Earth France and is 100% focused on finance. Acting as a think tank and an campaigning NGO, Reclaim Finance speaks out on the impacts of financial institutions and act to change existing laws and practices. In the context of the climate emergency and biodiversity loss, one of the main missions of the organization is to help accelerate the decarbonization of financial flows. Based in Paris but with the international outreach, Reclaim Finance covers the complete financial sector: banks, insurers, investors, central banks and rating agencies. Reclaim Finance’s approach is radical and pragmatic as it does not intend to turn mainstream finance upside down, but aims at limiting the most harmful impacts by tackling targeted problems until measures with a real positive impact are achieved.
