Florentina holds a bachelor’s degree in International Sales and Marketing and is completing her master’s in Bank and Finance, both from Kosovo. Previously, she worked at the People in Need (PIN) NGO in the Human Resources and Finance Department for three years. She has recently moved to Germany. In July 2023, she joined Beyond Fossil Fuels as a Finance & Admin Officer. She speaks Albanian, English, and is currently learning German.

Why carbon offsetting undermines climate targets
More than 80 leading civil society organisations, including Beyond Fossil Fuels, have issued a joint statement rejecting the use of carbon offsets to meet corporate climate targets. We call on accounting bodies like the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol to continue excluding offsets and stick to scientifically-sound methodologies for tracking corporate climate efforts.
