Ana Afonso Silva

Ana joined Beyond Fossil Fuels in December 2023, leveraging her expertise in data analysis and research cultivated during her tenure as an evolutionary biologist. With a comprehensive academic background, including a PhD and postdoctoral research, she specialised in biodiversity and speciation, laying a robust groundwork for data analysis.

Motivated by her commitment to addressing the climate crisis, Ana transitioned from academic research to a more practical role. Prior to joining Beyond Fossil Fuels, she freelanced with Designers for Climate, offering data visualisation services. Fluent in English and Portuguese, Ana also possesses a basic understanding of French and Spanish.
