Loukia Goni

Loukia is an enthusiastic digital communications professional, seamlessly blending theoretical and technical expertise in communication and marketing with a keen interest in people-powered campaigning. She joined the Beyond Fossil Fuels campaign in November 2019. Before this, Loukia dedicated almost 8 years to Greenpeace Greece, initially working as a Web Design & Digital Mobilisation Specialist and later as a Digital Mobilisation Manager.

Her focus involved developing impactful digital engagement strategies. Loukia pursued her studies in Mass Media and Communication in Athens, and she holds an MSc in Design & Digital Media from the University of Edinburgh.

Slovakia has expedited its coal exit from 2030 to 2024, while rumours of a return to coal in Austria have failed to materialise, with record additions of solar and wind power easing out coal and helping to ensure security of supply.
